Secondary Transition

This ‘Secondary Transition’ page provides essential information to prepare pupils and parents through the important phase to secondary school. It includes details about the transition process, key dates and some helpful resources. You will also see a list of destination schools that our pupils have gone on to attend which showcases a diverse range of secondary education options. This helps families explore potential future schools while celebrating the achievements and success stories of our former pupils.

Children transitioning to secondary school is an important part of their development and as such we will work to ensure children and parents are fully supported in this process. We host a parents' meeting related to secondary school transition to explain the process and support parents. Following children's offer of a school, we will engage with the relevant secondary schools to ensure they have the appropriate information on the children transferring to them for Year 7. Many secondary schools will host induction days or transition events during the summer term of Year 6, which we encourage our families and children to attend.
